About the Role:

The Recruiting Specialist role isresponsible for running the full-cycle recruitment process to attract and hiretop talent that aligns with PopUp Bagels’ values, culture, and businessobjectives. This role partners closely with hiring managers and the HR Directorto identify staffing needs, develop sourcing strategies, and hire candidatesacross our Retail, Production, and Corporate functions. This role is integral in ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

You Will:

  • Partner with hiring stakeholders to understand staffing needs and develop job postings that attract qualified candidates.
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates through job boards, social media platforms, networking, and direct outreach.
  • Manage the candidate pipeline and maintain communication with applicants to ensure an efficient hiring process.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring teams.
  • Conduct reference checks and assist with background screening processes.
  • Track recruitment metrics, prepare reports, and recommend process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and internal hiring policies.
  • Support employer branding initiatives and represent the company at career fairs, campus events, and networking functions, as needed.

You Have:

Experience andEducation Requirement:

  • High school diploma required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, AIRS certification) preferred but not required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, and/or human resources.
  • Experience sourcing and managing candidates across multiple platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, applicant tracking systems).
  • Proven success filling roles across a variety of job levels and functions. Specific experience in filling roles in retail and production functions, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment practices and effective sourcing strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and prioritize competing demands.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Google/Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems (ATS) (ADP and Harri, preferred)
  • Ability to build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally to attend recruiting events, career fairs, or on-site interviews.
